Most Kings get their head cut off

Some of you know I have this strange fascination with rap music. So much so that I would probably be your go-to-guy if you were ever dangling over a volcano of molten lava and needed to know what the acronym B.I.G stood for in order to save your life*.

That’s why I’m really excited for the new Jay-Z book coming out this November.  Named “Decoded”, the book details some of Jay-Z’s life but also decodes the meanings of 36 of the rappers most famous songs.

In addition to the hardcover release, “Decoded” will be published as an eBook, as well as an interactive iPhone/iPad application that will include exclusive video and customizable content.

I’m not sure if I’m more excited about the actual book or the interactive app. You can pre-order the book and listen to a video from Jay-Z here.

500 Days of Weezy

This is not a mashup album, this is an album about Wayne.  Courtesy of My Sick Uncle, you can download it now for free. One of my favorite tracks is the remake of Hall & Oates with Lollipop.   When you’re done with that, check out the  Notorious B.I.G. album.
