Good question. Here are a few things I would think about -
(1) What sort of interactions are you getting on the posts to your friends? Are they liking, commenting, sharing you content? Is there a pattern in terms of time, day, type of content they like?
(2) What time zone, work schedules do your friends have? If you are on the east coast and most of them are on the west coast, maybe you're just missing their core hours.
(3) Your friends could have different facebook usage patterns than the rest of the world, but it probably doesn't vary all that much. Do you have something like Google Analytics installed on your blog? Could you use that data to see referring sites and what time is most active?

Hope that helps, let me know how it works out.
Bob

Great information.
However I'd like to ask more. Is it known which hour is the best to post to your friends on facebook? At crowdy hours your message migh go down very fast and at night - just little amount of people read. Your thoughts?
