Razorfish 2009 FEED Report Now Available

FEED is an annual consumer behavior report put out by Razorfish that, in the past, has charted how consumers adopt new internet technologies and digital services. This year they flipped it up a little and changed focus. This year’s report is focused on understanding how digital is changing the way consumers interact with brands and how experience really does matter. Their reports are worth their weight in gold. Great stuff, beautiful design.

Free PDF for Download. I’m also happy that they are now offering a printed version via Blurb

Razorfish Releases Social Influence Marketing Report

Razorfish recently released their social influence marketing report. Download it, read it, give it to your boss.

Social Influence Marketing (SIM) is about employing social media and social influencers to achieve the marketing and business needs of an organization.

Social Influence Marketing is about recognizing, accounting and tapping into the fact that as your potential consumer makes a purchasing decision, he or she is being influenced by different circles of people through conversations with them, both online and off. It is not enough to market to the consumer anymore; as a marketer you also have to market to each individual’s social influencers throughout the marketing funnel.

All Laundry Detergent Viral Videos Help Charities

File this under things I wish I had thought of.

All Laundry Detergent teamed up with The Celebrity Apprentice to help create and distribute a viral video that donated 50 cents to two charities every time their video was shared. All is essentially using their budget as incentive to encourage people to share and distribute clips online, but to also build goodwill. The content of the video below is a little long, but overall the theme is pretty good. Since I knew that 50 cents was going to a charity, I was willing to tune in for a little longer.

What a great way to incorporate TV with online video, web, corporate partners and a good cause.

The charities supported were the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity and The Lili Claire Foundation. Razorfish is the agency behind this.

Razorfish Releases 2009 Digital Outlook Report

Razorfish recently released their 2009 Digital Outlook Report. It’s a beautiful piece with amazing content and insight for just about every digital industry. Download your copy free copy now.  If 175 pages is too much to read, then check out Guy Kawasaki’s overview.

Does anyone know if they offer this in physical book format? I know it sounds silly, but I’d love to have a ‘real’ copy. Maybe Lulu.com can help me.

Online Marketing and Social Media Week in Review – January 31st

In case you were too busy giving birth to 8 kids this week, here are some of the highlights you missed.

Advertisers are mashing online and offline events.  This week Facebook partnered with AT&T to stream a live Lil’ Wayne concert and Sunday Pepsi is hosting and online Super Bowl Party.  {NOTE: I wonder how you could take your event or product and engage people who aren’t physically there?}

Razorfish came out with a report that ties consumer social media activity to purchase behavior. They determined that the more deeply engaged someone is with social media, the more likely they are to make a purchase.  Glad to have the data to back up our assumptions.
